Review of Ecosy Petit 5 Stove

Petit 5kw

we've had the Cosyfire petit for just over two months and we love it! It was a great price at £400 we probably saved at least £200 against a similar burner. It looks really stylish, we bought the red enamel one (although its more burgundy) because we wanted a more modern burner that was in keeping with out 1960's house. It heats the room fantastically (probably takes about 30mins to really get going) it is easy to clean. Not a problem but I don't know if we are using it correctly, we do seem to be loading it every hour I don't know if that's about average. If the wood is too large it does not burn, too small and it burns very quickly we have not tried coal yet. I would recommend a burner they are warm, cosy and great for a cold winters evening, nothing compares.

Stove expert replied: Providing you can shut the stove down to a slumber and it is not always a very busy flame then it would appear that you have control over the rate of burn and refuelling every hour is down to where the controls are set. If the stove will not shut down to a slumbering mode then the flue draw may be an issue and should be investigated further.
