Review of Dunsley Highlander 5 stove

Good performance stove

Like anyone investing a decent amount of money I’ve spent time researching stoves. I prefer buying something made in the uk if possible and dunsley have been very helpful whenever I’ve contacted them. This has to be important when often you don’t know where something has been made. As regards the stove, it’s a cracking bit of kit. Well made and easily to light and control. The looks have grown on me as in my last house I had a morso squirrel which I really liked. The dunsley beats it easily in the running and practicality if just not as charming looking. However the ease of cleaning and large ash box far outweigh the aesthetics. Touches like the adjustable feet on the dunsley along with the extremely effective riddle bars mark it out as a very well designed stove. I don’t have any regrets buying my highlander 5 which is probably the best praise given I’m quick to complain when something isn’t up to standard.
