Review of Dunsley Highlander 5 stove

Money well spent

Peter Neve 11 years ago

I had the dunsley highlander 5 installed about a month ago, and must admit I'am extremely pleased with this smart little stove. The heat output is fantastic once you work out you how to achieve the best results. I tend to find that 6 loosely scrunched up balls of newspaper about 15-20 kindling sticks layered over the top in a lattice effect then 2 dry smallish hardwood logs on top, once lit have both top and bottom air washes open for the 1st 10 -15 mins adding more wood as needed. When using the smokeless coal a shovel full before bed is still red glowing hot the next morning. I'am currently sitting here mid dec in only a pair of shorts as its that warm in front room. I can honestly say its the best money I've ever spent. It's a top little stove.
