Review of Dunsley Highlander 5 stove
Excellent with solid fuel but I'm struggling with wood burning
I bought the Dunsley high lander 5 enviro burn a month ago, I luv the stove and find it superb with solid fuel. I have been try ing to get it to work right burning dry logs but I cannot seem to achieve this, my stove never seems warm enough to heat the room. Now I'm not saying its the stove as I too did my homework and as a first time owner of one I'm leaning towards its me who is the problem. I have read the reviews on this site and used any advice that has been written but still I cannot get it right. PLEASE can someone post what I should be doing with the controls to get this maximum efficiency out of it with wood? I close the grate I light it no problem I've done the turning the controls on to maximum but I still can not get it warm enough. If anyone with this burner can help and talk me through it step by step I will be eternally greatful....thanks ever SO much.

Is your wood really dry? I've found that damp wood is the biggest impediment to getting a hot fire going with minimal damper opening.
