Review of Dunsley Highlander 5 stove

Red hot buy

Gavin 12 years ago

This is a great little stove, quality of finish is good and at £680 delivered it was a good buy, shame about the customer service though, both from Dunsley and Stoves are useless, as we are still waiting for our extras 11 months after purchase.

This stove is easy to use and easy to light and we find that it does burn overnight on wood, that is if one goes to bed late and the other gets up early!!

The firebox size is good for a 5kw stove of this size, in fact a lot of other stoves in this range have far smaller fireboxes.

Airwash is ok unless you turn the air flow right down but the window soon clears with a good fire which is easily controllable.

All handle operations are good and I would buy this stove again, unless of course there was another equally as good for the money, and that is purely down to a customer service issue that we have with Dunsley and Stoves are Us.

Stove expert replied: Nice review of stove, it is a shame that the manufacturer and supplier have let this customer down.
