Update since posting the "Poor product poor manufacturer" DRU have been in contact and apologised for the breakdown in quality control and promised an enquiry into what went wrong. They have supplied a perfectly finished stove and I have to say we are very happy with it.

It is a shame it wasn't a smooth transaction but all in all I am impressed with the build quality and overall performance.
