No air wash controls

almost from day 1 the airwash control on the right hand side does not wwork, fitter came back twice to fix and then stop working shortly afterwards.he is no longer available. Have contacted the manufacturers to see what could be done under warranty and they send e mails detailing what they will do and then nothing.Smoke does billow out when I reload the fire but whether this is down to the controls I do not know, have to wear a mask.Will be replacing the stove this summer a costly mistake
