Review of Clock Blithfield 5 and Compact 5 Stoves

Clock Blithfield 5

The second we set eyes on this stove it was the stove for us. We wanted a large stove for our kitchen 29x14x8 feet and this was the one for us. It sits two brick high on a granite hearth against our gable wall with an external 7 metre flue. We''ve had it installed over a year ago and meets all our expectations,we burn only well seasoned hard wood and for a 5kw stove I would say it is 7++ kw compared to the other stoves we have on our property. It certainly has a high efficiency rating because it only needs topped up every 2 hours.I only burn logs so I have no experience on solid fuel, the only negative I have is it let''s out a small amount of smoke on opening door the matter how I do it ,I do open air valves fully and open door gently which reduces smoke greatly. Overall we are very pleased with this stove and it is a solid piece of construction and well made.
