Review of Clearview Solution 500 stove

The right choice

Susan Cameron

Living in the Highlands of Scotland it can get very cold...we have been in our large house for 7 years living with heating oil. The house was never very warm and with the price of oil I decided on a change. With 3 young children 6 and twins aged 4 I thought they were old enough to understand about things being HOT!...so we had a clearview solution 500 installed 2 weeks ago now and the kitchen is so cosy although the heat is not moving around the house as well as I thought (even with a fan) but it does give a wonderful heat. In the morning I put on the kettle and by the time it is boiled the fire is well going...I am using a fair bit of hardwood and softwood more than I thought but the wood was cut quite small I need to experiment on a few things, anyway great investment, great for drying and warming clothes and jammies as we have a babydan fireguard. Verdo bricks are very good and give off a great heat over all ...wonderful

Stove expert replied: Drying clothes around a stove can lead to the moisture produced causing problems in other areas of the room, airing clothes is fine providing you have adequate clearance.
