pleased but hard to get going

Love the stove but finding it really hard to get a good flame burn. The logs just seem to smoulder with a few flames. Draw on chimney seems fine. Could the logs be too damp?

Stove expert replied: Have you a moisture meter to check the content is less than 20%, really recommend having one to insure the stove has the best chance to perform as expected. Damp wood makes the stove struggle and can cause flue problems so not recommended.
