the previous comment about the escamo fan and that he has no issues, only thing I can say is that the stove must not be used to its best heat output. Due to the fact my escamo heats approx 3000
sq feet all on its lonesome, I do burn a lot of wood to get the heat transfer in tbe convection side.. and yes my external fan I fitted its fantastic on a speed controller it can respond to heat output and blast tbe heat from the stove and with no fear if destruction of the fan... we will all use stoves differently and mine failed in the gan system it came with several times.. if you look at where the fan is under the stove it''s adjacent to the Ash box container right below the firebox itself... you can tell as Barbas have now moved the fan to the side on newer units...
I am now looking to install a secondary burn system to improve its burn efficiency through the fire box at the rear down and under the Ash box area to vents in the front facia.Has anyone attempted to improve a escamo 90??? is so drop a message .. regards
great fire, huge heat output, burns well, fans are poorly positioned though and not built / designed for high heat that can build up directly under fire box and they burn out, regularly ( having
replaced several I have now redesigned a convection fan system in-sit u) resolved by redesign the fan/fans .Fans now out of the area of greatest heat if you suffer fan burn out and need a solution get in touch Noisy door slides but high temp grease spray solves this, seals can be replaced. Overall happy with unit and heat, It heats 3200 square feet to 19c not bad on three floors! via heat convection ducts as well.
