Review of ACR Hopwood

Poor stove

Changed Aarrow Multifuel 7 Ecoburn for Hopwood to better fit the fireplace. Aarrow fairly roared and it's only drawback was lack of log space. Hopwood is difficult to light, has somehow reduced draw probably due to inner plate mechanism and when lit it does the opposite of burn brightly or radiate strong heat. Aarrow was a perfect primary heat source throughout the winter, but this Hopwood barely gives enough heat for a slightly chilly October night. The air wash function is also non apparent as using definite well seasoned wood and the front window is black after 4 fires. In short, it feels like I have been sold a crock. Never experienced this level of issues with any fire previously and feeling royally short-changed with what I have received. Look elsewhere as this stove appears either ill designed or over engineered
