Magnificent little fire

We have had the 5Kw slimline version due to the need to save space. We had a 'Stone Art' Bath Stone fireplace in which to stand the new wood burner and the combination looks stunning.
This magnificent little fire keeps the room warm and if we leave the lounge door open the heat spreads throughout the house. Our central heating bills are considerably lower even with the steep increase in gas prices!
Unless it is really cold outside we let the fire burn out during the night but on the coldest nights we have bedded it down with a few smokeless brickets which keeps the fire ticking over until dawn.
The fire is incredibly easy to light with a few pages of newspaper and a little dry kindling topped with a couple of dry logs. Once the chimney warms up the fire can be turned down a little or to the degree of comfort required. Heat levels are very easily controlled and the airwash is extremely efficient.
I did a fair bit of research before making our purchase. Woodwarm are not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive multi-fuel burners but you definitely get extremely good value for money!

Unbelievable

Bought two of these on recommendation from Backwoodsman in Oban. Had them fitted by local tradesman Graeme MacKechnie. Completely bowled over by the simple operation, fantastic performance, looks, installation, just about everything. Spent ages researching stoves, having got the quote from Backwoodsman, which turned out to be the cheapest anyway. Just glad I didn't fall for any of the other marketing rubbish from other suppliers.
Stoves delivered as expected, installed as promised, works better than expected, turned the C/H off, just looking forward to it getting really cold so we can sit and watch the flames with a small glass of malt content that we are saving an oil fortune. Well done Woodwarm, Backwoodsman and Mr MacKechnie and thank you all. Anyone who buys one of these will be happy and warm.

Stove Expert Reviewed: Very happy customer and stoves doing everything they wanted them to do. Great.

Top quality and made in England

Just built a new house and after searching for a quality stove I decided on the Woodwarm 5kw. The reason for the 5kw was because of building regulations, any larger and an airbrick HAS to be installed. I have insulated the new house extremely well, so well that when testing the new stove one late evening I had to open the windows due to the heat in the room.

As far as I'm concerned there are no better stoves on the market in the same price bracket. Buy one as you won't be disappointed :-)

Stove Expert Replied: Modern houses are so well insulated that there may be a need for some free-air to insure that stoves can work effectively, room sealed or stoves with direct air connections get over this and are worth investigating for all new builds.

The dogs danglies!

I spent many months researching stoves of this size, there were a few cheaper ones that i considered before i finally made my choice, thankfully i paid a little extra and got a Woodwarm 6kw and have not regretted it or been dissapointed.

We've had it for about 5 months now and absolutely love it. I'm getting jealous comments from my better half that i spend too much time with it and give it too much attention (not that it needs it)! Its so nice just watching it, I look forward to nights of rubbish TV so that we can turn it off and watch the flames flickering instead.

I have a 3 bedroom house which is sort of open plan, it heats the whole house quickly and effortlessly, to the point where we have the windows open sometimes aswell, even with the recent very cold snowy winter its kept us snug. It gives off so much heat that we also heat a kettle of water on top which supplies many cups of tea and assists in cooking saving much electricity. Clothes dry within a couple of hours when placed on the clothes horse upstairs, I really can't praise it enough. Its got a large firebox, is very easy to light, get a great draw from it, large viewing window, easily adjustable and reacts quickly, heats up very quickly and absolutely belts out the heat (had to buy a pair of welders gloves as I kept burning myself!).

Maintaining the stove is easy. The airwash system is probably as the best that you will find, it circulates the whole top of the stove both sides (unlike many other makes) before it exits at the front. I rarely have to clean the glass with normal burning, once a week I just wipe the window with a bit of newspaper. If you're burning overnight on tick-over then it soots up a little more but this will happen with any stove. It has a nice large ash tray so riddling and emptying is very straight forward.

Research suppliers and shop around before you purchase, I got mine with roll/flat top, 6 inch feet (which you can pay extra for) all for approx £940, delivered with free gifts of a 20kg bag of coal aswell from a company based in Essex that sells fireplace products, can't fault them either. I got a number of other quotes in excess of £1400 elsewhere!

Stove Expert Replied: Good review, great feedback, satisfied customer!

WOODWARM TIL I DIE

This stove is the best stove i have ever used, The air wash and the double glazed glass door keeeps the glass clean for weeks. I had a clearview in my last house and i ranted and raved about it and dont get me wrong clearview is a good stove but this stove has beat it for price, better view of fire, controllability and the glass would stay cleaner for longer. If i ever moved again this would deffinitely be stove i would put in. I can get this stove up temp in 10 minutes flat and can burn all night.Looking forward to the winter to get this baby run 24/7 and I have saved myself one of oil a year £1200.00.

So good I bought two!

Well not two at the same time ... just yet.

We bought our first Woodwarm 6KW Fireview at our previous house upon recommendation of J&A Stoves in Aylesbury. We wanted a stove that had a good view of the fire and was not old fashioned looking. The Woodwarm fitted the bill. It also has a good efficiency rating and is competitively priced against similar products that can easily cost twice as much (Euroheat, Morso etc.) From day one we were delighted with its performance.

We moved house last year and decided to install a new second woodburner and without hesitation chose another Woodwarm 6KW Fireview. The only problem was that we could not find a Woodwarm reseller in our part of Lincolnshire. In fact it's surprising how many stove shops have never heard of Woodwarm. Although we wanted a one-stop supplier and installer we were so confident of the Woodwarm that we bought one online and found an independent HETAS registered installer. This saved us well over £500 compared to going with a shop installer and alternative make.

Again we are delighted with the Woodwarm so much so that we will not consider anyother make from now on unless something comes along that is extremely special.

One small downside of the Woodwarm is that the riddling grate easily clogs with embers when rotating the bars but that is not a problem as we burn wood with a permanent one inch ash bed. Another point to note is that the firebox insulation bricks are very fragile so don't go chucking wood in but rather gently place it in inside.

Our house already has another stove being a Euroheat Harmony 23 and quite frankly it is pants compared to the Woodwarm. The Harmony takes almost an hour to get a good flame and when it gets there it is tempremental as hell. I was shocked to learn the price of the Harmony. The Woodwarm gets a better flame within ten minutes using the same wood fuel stock and almost half the price.

In fact we are looking to replace the Harmony as it cannot be used as a boiler. No prizes for guessing what we will be replacing it with.

FANTASTIC STOVES

I have this stove 6 weeks and love it, I have had a morso 3110 for two years and the glass never stayed clean for no more than 2 nights burning, it was so annoying spending all that money and looking at black glass.
This stove is so easy to operate and control,
The double glazed glass door stays clean for weeks with a wipe once a week.
Build quility is outstanding.
I would recommend this stove to anyone looking a qility stove at reasonable money

Woodwarm 6.5Kw Multi-fuel Stove

This stove does everything the manufacturer claimed. The airwash system works well, we only have to rub a piece of newspaper over the glass before lighting and it's clean again. I recommend these stoves to all prospective purchasers, and in preference to many supposedly 'more stylish' stoves that do not actually work that well.
In addition, if the flue is not correct then no stove will work properly.
