Review of Woodwarm Phoenix Firewren 4kW

Excellent stove

Matt McKay 9 years ago

We had our Woodwarm Phoenix fitted last December, following a recommendation by our local stove showroom in Norfolk.

Don't be fooled by its small size, this little fellow packs a serious punch and I like the simple but modern look of it. It is not as wide as the 5kw version but in fact has a better depth, so as a result I can load it up with 3 or 4 logs at a time. It is very easy to clean with a clever grate system operated by detachable handle on the right hand side and this empties straight into the ashpan.

The airwashed glass stays very clear and I find that it needs cleaning about once a month, a damp cloth dipped in ash works a treat. The primary & secondary air controls are very easy to use, after a little reading up first!!

We were lucky enough to find an excellent fitter who was very impressed by its efficiency at 84%. Overall, we have been delighted with it and if you are looking for a small stove then go for this one, it's great.
