Review of Westfire 21 pedestal stove

Great burner

Steve Whipp 11 years ago

This is a great stove - we've lived with it for 3 months now. Started with a softwood base it goes on to develop a high output in the lounge of out house. It needs a good blaze to start it with the door handle left lighly latched. Once the fire has caught the softwood it is totally controllable. The door handle needs oiling from time to time and would otherwise become stiff. The glass soots up but this can be cleaned by wiping with a cloth - the wood we burn is well seasoned and dried. Altogether it makes a focal point to the room and keeps the house toasty.
