Review of Wamsler 900 series cooking range

Wamsler Solid Fuel Cooker

John Boyce 6 years ago

We have a Brown - Centre flue solid fuel cooker - fitted new in 1986 - over 30 years ago. Will burn everything you put in front of it - I mean - in it. Excellent stove when using a combination of seasoned timber and broken up pallets together - The quicker you need heat - more pallets - to keep the stove ''ticking over''- use more ''proper'' seasoned timber. ''green timber'' is ok - but stove is much harder to control as the fire is more likely to go out when you go away and leave it on ''Auto-pilot'' - ''Auto-pilot'' works a lot better with seasoned timber - when you do get back to it a few pallets will spring the fire into life again - Green timber - no hope.

Stove expert replied: 30 years of service is very commendable for a hard working cooking range and it is still going!
