Review of Wamsler 1100 series cooking range

Wamsler 1100 Range Cooker

Arthur Kyle 15 years ago

Having just bought the Range I am still getting used to it for cooking and heating.

The product is engineered to a high standard as you would expect from a German product the cooking area is fantastic for cooking many different items at the same time the oven is tricky as the temerature control can be difficult to regulate but that's down to me for being over zelous with the fire, the house feels so different with a lovely ambiance of warmth throughout the ten rooms at very little running cost which surprised me reading about the cavernous fire box area but with my range the fuel consumption is less than I thought it was going to be around 12 large logs and 10kgs of coal a day provides all hot water central

heating and cooking for the 24 hours, the over night burn with 4 large ash logs put in the fire box10:00 pm and the air shut down, it will alow the logs to burn slow enough to keep the house warm all night and when I come to it around 6.30 all it needs to spark back into life is a quick grate riddle the air vents opening a charge of logs and it's away once again in my situation living 1000 feet up a mountain in North Wales I should have bought one twenty years ago, the best thing since sliced bread.
