Review of Town and Country Runswick stove

Brilliant! Gold medal winner

Terry Titmus 11 years ago

We have always loved an open fire but with all that heat and money going straight out the chimney we decided on a Runswick Inset. Once installed, with very minimal modification to the top edge of our existing brick opening, this has proved to be a real asset. Using one of the Runswick manufacturers recommended smokeless fuels this stove is very easy to use and control and after learning the finesses regarding top and bottom air flow the stove is both economic and efficient. The 4kw+ rating, which is ideal for our cottage, is deceptive i.e the lounge door has to opened sometimes to let heat out! With the air controls turned down it will also keep a fire on slumber all night and with a few minutes attention in the morning it's back in glowing business. Highly recommended.
