Review of Sigma 490 stove

Compact and Traditional - Just what we needed...

I bought this stove from my local retailer to recreate a traditional open fire in our townhouse, and I can’t say I have any regrets. It was sold to us as part of a package with a brick chamber and a non-combustible beam, and the whole set was installed within a few hours.

My partner really loved the traditional yet compact design and that’s what sold it for us. It’s very easy to use (when the logs are chopped down enough!) and the only real downside it that we bought it a few months ago - it would have been great to have had at Christmas and even though summer has just began we’re already looking forward to getting the fire roaring during winter.

Overall a great compact stove at a terrific price.
