Review of Saltfire Lilliput

Nice stove

Keith Taylor 8 years ago

I bought this stove three years ago as we were burning a serious amount of fuel on the open fire, (about a barrow full of logs a day). We have an old house and did have solid fuel heating but we replaced it in 2000 with oil fired central heating. Whilst this was a great improvement the house was still prone to damp. We decided that we would open up the fire again to draw air through the property. As mentioned above our fuel costs rocketed. As soon as we replaced the open fire with the stove our fuel bills were seriously reduced. We had a room we could sit in comfortably during the cooler autumnal and spring evenings. The stove was very easy to assemble and puts out about 5 kws of heat. The paint is not as good as it could be, I have had to respray ours once because of discolouring. I feel the stove has more than paid for itself within 18 months of purchase. It was an ideal choice for us.
