great value for money stove!!!

I bought this stove to replace a firebelly stove which i was very unhappy with and its a dream come through. The we have it in is quite large a kitchen-living-dining room and its fantastic.

It has a huge heat output, is made with quality cast iron that really holds the heat, when going well the airwash works perfectly can get slightly dirty when closed off overnight but i find a damp cloth dipped in the ashes and rub the glass takes it off easily.

The stove can take large logs looks really modern just like a big open fire with all the heat. It comes with fireproof gloves for opening the side door and a handle for the front, the paint is still perfect on mine and can be easily lit again with some briquettes in the morning.

For a contemporary high heat output stove that looks as good as it works i think this is the only one would buy again in the morning!!!

Saey Scope

Very attractive modern stove. Side loading door works well and avoids getting smoke in the room. Huge heat output, and the heavy cast construction holds the heat well. With its big glass window it is a pleasure to sit and watch - the closest thing to an open fire. It also takes good big logs. The external air intake works well. I like it as it lives in a new modern sun lounge. It lights reasonably well, but there are better. The paintwork finish has discoloured more than expected and i have had to respray the top - the good thing is that a matching spray paint is easily available from Stoves-on-line. The fireproof rope sealant has not been terribly robust - must try and get some new stuff. The manual that comes with it is poor. A very poor translation from the German, and it does not even explain or tell you what the lighting vent is for! The biggest issue I have with it is that when you turn it down low (i.e. max closure of top vent) the front glass gets very dirty and it is a 15 minute job to clear it. Annoying. Even with the vents fully closed this stove really does not burn overnight. So in summary, attractive big stove with a great output, but operationally so-so.

SAEY SCOPE WOODBURNER

The castings on this stove are not as good quality as some other high end stoves; ie Morso, but you do get a lot of stove for your money, this beast can put out some serious amount of heat the side door is a real asset for ease of loading and can burn overnight once you get the hang of it.If your budget is £1200 for the stove then nothing else comes close [I have previously owned a Clearview]

Saey Scope woodburner

I bought this stove as my only form of heating and I am absolutely loving it. It is very heavy and was tricky getting it up the stairs! The design and build quality is typically German- excellent. I gave burning overnight a 3 because I don't do it. The controls are very precise and the airwash works fine. I use the side loading door when the stove is alight as no smoke escapes into the room. I can fit huge chunks of wood into it and it burns them through. This stove puts out a lot of heat but you can close both vents and the fire will go out, unlike some stoves I have had. I would buy another one if I had space! Really good value for money, as in you get a lot of metal for your money.
