Morso 08 stove Hot

I read the earlier review about noise but went aheah and bought this stove anyway. Fortunately, my stove isn't any more noisy than you'd expect. I'm not sure that a cast iron stove will ever be perfectly silent.



My only criticism of the stove is with the user instructions. They may as well be written in Chinese. The stove has a 3-setting air control and I'm not really sure when I should be using each setting. The glass windows also soot up after a fire but maybe I'm using wood that's still damp.



Overall, the fire looks gorgeous and belts out fantastic heat. My sitting room is about 6m by 5m and this stove is more than up to the job.

It's noisy, even (or even especially) after it has heated up. It clicks ,clucks and cracks all night; drives me round the bend. The ash grate knob is pathetic. It hardly moves the grate enough to sieve out the ash. It doesn't push back into position properly and is so close to the door that it often catches on the door as it is opened or closed.
