This is a fantastic stove giving loads of heat and very attractive, fits into a 1930s tiled fireplace. The flue was lined and the stove fitted by a Morso dealer with a minimum of mess. I wouldnt
    be without it in winter

  • Quality Product, Choose Your Retailer Well!

    Alexander Kolbitsch 10 years ago

This is a very excellent, small stove which will fit even a shallow and small fireplace. The firebox and the size of the window make optimal use of the available space. It is both a DEFRA and
Multifuel stove, meaning it can be used in smoke restricted areas AND you can burn various solid fuels, not only wood! The overall feeling is really very positive. Morso recommends that it is installed with a 5inch flue liner. Mention that to your installer, because ours wanted to install it with a 6inch, which would have made the stove less efficient. We have used the stove for a few weeks only, but it feels as if it could last for a long time. It really is one clever little quality product!!Since Morso UK has subcontracted all guarantee cases to the respective retailer (they say that is common practice nowadays), it is very important that you choose a GOOD RETAILER, since the retailer will take care of any claims during the guarantee period. We had a claim and although Morso was very friendly, and even presented us with a free fire wood basked in the end, we had to deal with a somewhat dodgy online retailer, which we had chosen, assuming that - in case there was be a problem - it would anyway be fixed by Morso. But Morso do not "have engineers on the road" as they put it. Given the fact that the stove is not exactly the cheapest on the market, this came as an unwanted surprise and caused many hours of work for us. Overall, we must say though, that we feel that we have a very good stove installed now.

Stove expert replied: Any purchase you make means that you contract is with this company and they will be dealing with any warranty issues that may arise not the manufacturer, this is standard practise and not anything to be concerned about. Purchase from reputable dealers on the high street or on line and the back up service should be provided.
