Review of Morso Dove stove

Badger in a stable conversion

Laurence Faux 15 years ago

The Morso Badger is a well engineered and built unit. They know a thing or two about wood burning stoves do those Scandinavian and on the whole I'm very please with the way this fire looks and operates...however like any any fine tuned piece of equipment you need to know how to operate it correctly to get the most out of it. This is not a just a metal box with a chimney on top. The stove can be tricky to light: use dry fuel..period, don't overload it and get a good flame going as early as possible or I'll just sit there and sulk.

This stove can be shut down for overnight burning with very little effort but make sure the fuel is partially burnt and dry to avoid resin/water deposits condensing on the flue over night (boy that does stink).
