Review of Morso Dove stove

Great stove

We bought a house and it came with a Morso¸ Dove 1630. Being new to multi-fuel stoves it took some practice. Now, it lights first time, with no fire-lighters nor kindling, just scrunched up newspaper. High heat output that heats a 6m x 6m living/diner, plus adjacent kitchen and reception hall. We use kiln-dried wood to start, then once up to heat (always use a stove thermometer!), we use briquettes. I keep some bags of smokeless fuel in for the depths of winter, when I want to keep some heat overnight. I also recommend a stove-top genuine Ecofan to distribute the heat around a room. I have noticed other locals, with large rooms use Morso¸ stoves, and rave about them. If you use the air-wash top vents correctly (just follow the down-loadable) manual, you will not get a sooted up glass. I have no idea how old the stove is - at least 12+ years, I think.
