Review of Lovenholm stove

Cracking stove for the price

Easton, Bristol 9 years ago

Got this stove for under £700 which was great value, and for the price it was better than anything else I could buy new. It's definitely a budget stove in terms of build quality etc, but far better than anything around this price bracket.

Burns great - I have the multi-fuel but mainly just burn kiln-dried hardwood. Once it's up to temp it kicks out a phenomenal amount of heat and burns approx one 10" log every 45-60 minutes. The handle does get incredibly hot, but they do supply a pair of gauntlets. The handle also did lose its paint finish within weeks and looks a bit scruffy.

Easy to light once you have the knack, and the huge window is a nice addition, lighting up the room in the evening.

Next time I have a stove installed I'd aim for something of higher quality, finances permitting. But if I had to, I would happily have another Lovenholm again.
