Review of Hunter Herald 14 stove

2 Hunter Herald 14's One good. One bad. Advice please

Gareth McComb 8 years ago

I had two Hunter Herald 14's in my house and because I never used one of them I moved it to my holiday home.

The original works fine and I have had no problems with it.

I have only started using the second one now that I have had it moved and installed by a professional installer.

The problem with this stove is that you dampen it's burning.

The two stoves seem to have different types of control at the top of the doors. On the "good" one you can slide a pan across and this reduces the draught.

On the other there seems to be a damper type unit but this does not actually have a panel that actually slides across the openings at the top of the doors.

Is there something missing or installed wrongly?

Do I have two different eras of model?

Your help would be appreciated

Many thanks
