Review of Heta Inspire 45 stove

Heta 45

Just installed a Heta 45. Great looking stove and seems to get very good reviews. I have a bit of a concern, I don't think the stove is emitting the heat I thought it would. I use dried logs with regular moisture content and also tried using some phurnacite (which leaves a lot of ash after burning). I expected the stove to be providing more heat, and to leave less ash in the chamber. The airwash seems to be working really well. I light the fire with newspapers, kindling and a firelighter and then put on small blocks. At times I see the tertiary air system work well and pay close attention to controlling the airflow using primary and secondary outlets. Its working reasonably well but expected a bit more heat to be honest...what am I doing wrong?

Stove expert replied: Is this the correct size stove for the room that it is in? It is a nominal 4.9kW producing model so providing the wood has less than 20% moisture content, has been correctly installed and is operated as suggested then this output is achievable. Perhaps try an alternative smokeless fuel as they do vary greatly in the amount of ash they produce and remember wood needs an over draught whereas smokeless fuels need an under draught so the controls will need to be adjusted accordingly.
