Review of Franco Belge Savoy Classic stove

Savoy Elegance

Alan Carr 11 years ago

I have just had a Savoy Elegance fitted yesterday. Lights real real easy but burns fast ( I need to source a hot but slower burning fuel any recommendations?) I tried logs first and it just ate them up, so I tried coal which was better but still burns too quick! I did not bank it up at bed time but there was still embers in the morning which soon took hold when I added some coal. I got the red enamel and it looks cool. So far so good, hope it stays like this! Once I find a slower fuel I'm using a coal smokeless........any suggestions for a good fuels? What are the man made Eco logs like?

Alan.

Stove expert replied: If the stove is working hard and you have little control (not sure that I would say your does as it stayed in overnight) there are things that can be done to the flue to slow the draw. Further investigation recommended.
