Back boiler

Had this little beauty already installed when we bought the cottage. Back boiler has never been used or connected. Can I replace it with a fire brick

Stove expert replied: If the back boiler has been installed without water being connected then yes this should be done as a matter of urgency. No boilers (either add in or integral) should be put under fire with out being connected to the water system. An internal liner should replace the add in boiler and the tapping holes sealed with blanking discs.
