Review of Franco Belge Belfort stove

I've had my stove in for around 12yrs now, it's never let me down. Once every 18mths -2yrs I remove it from its resting place, take it to my garage strip it down and replace all seals including the top plate re-establish the fire cement and give a good look over. I believe if you look after your gear your gear will serve you for a lifetime. When replacing glass I found out at my expense not to over tighten the retaining clips,

Stove expert replied: Maintenance is important to ensure that a stove will function as expected, a little time and effort will certainly bring rewards over a stoves lifetime. Gaskets, rope seals, baffle plates, grates etc should be regularly inspected and replaced when needed.
