Review of Fireline FP5 stove

Not Great

Jo Roberts 9 years ago

Using the stove for the second cold / winter season.Initially though it was just us getting used to how to use it -- keeping it lit etc but we are finding we are going through wood fairly quickly -- either we have a rapid flame or none at all, then the glass becomes black and the fire dies -- we are using well seasoned hard logs (the same supplier that the rest of the village uses) but are unable to find a happy medium. We have also used Anthracite coals which we have had better success but again not brilliant. We have tried to alter both air vents with again a lack of success. The house is certainly not overwhelmingly hot like other houses we have been to with lit wood burning fires.

We are currently debating selling it and going for a different one !!
