Review of Firefox 5 stove

Great value stove

Jono Richards 8 years ago

I fitted my stove probably two years ago so I thought that it was about time I wrote the review! Its a great little stove and produces enough heat for the 2 bed Victorian terrace its in. It seems the dimensions of the stove fit my standard fireplace perfectly - guessing it was designed like that. No issues with building regs as a result. I run it on coal and logs / scrap wood and it's great on them all. Nothings gone wrong with it in the two years apart from the door catch needed tightening. Sorted with an adjustable. You can't really shut it down too far as I think the air wash system always lets in some air so won't run overnight - my only negative I would say. Probably set like this due to the approval for smoke free zones I would guess. Thoroughly recommended!
