Bought a firefox 5, and 8,on the advice of my sweep. The 5 is in a 20ftx18ft room, patio window at one end and large window opposite.Great performance, easy to light, impressed with it. Firefox 8 is in dining room which has gallery landing above it, the room is 20ftx 20ft, a large window and 3 doors off it. If all the doors are shut the room is kept warm and in the morning upstairs is still warm. No need for C/H. However as it is such a large detached house, the kitchen and office do not get the benefit, so I am buying a firefox 5 for the office. Cost of wood for a year is £200. Saving on gas so far £350. All that for £1000 outlay and you don't need the telly on. Great.
