Review of Firefox 5 Classic stove

Great little burner for the money

Steve Fletcher 9 years ago

I've had the burner now for 5 months. It cost £330 and for the money it is an excellent little burner. I did look at the little Wenlock and Consort 4 but this was significantly cheaper with good efficiency. The stove looks nice and modern, is easy to operate. I have followed the instructions which state that you shouldn't start the burner with a raging fire but light 5 smaller fires to prevent damage to the top plate. I also have a stove thermometer which is a MUST.

I installed the burner to an 8inch clay flue so was worried I'd lose a lot of the heat but this has not been a problem. I easily get the burner burning nice and hot.

For the money it really is a must.
