Review of Firebelly FB2 double sided stove

Fb 2 - use it correctly

F Holmes 11 years ago

Just to say I have read all other reviews AFTER I bought it. ( I would not have bought it had I read them) I have owned a very good Morso stove but wanted a double sided. It's not easy to use but if you do the following you will bo okay. When lighting use newspaper with LOTS of kindling. Then keep using light, small pieces of wood until properly lit. Keep all air vents open always - close and fire will die. I even open the air bricks at the top of fire to allow more air even if it is going slow. The air wash system does not work properly - dont worry. Clean the glass every time you use it. I use newspaper scrumpled up, and spray from Lakeland, and on heavy build up dip the newspaper into the ash. Sounds like a hassle, but it works. The stove is very attractive, but not very efficient. Use it as I say and you will get the best out of it.
