Review of Esse 100 stove

Excellent stove

R Burgess 9 years ago

I am a bit late in writing this review, as I have had this stove for over two years, maybe this will give a more broadened review as most reviews are only after a number of weeks! I work/own my own stove/ fireplace showroom, having installed many stoves, I chose the Esse for reputation, build quality, and also very good customer service as one of their dealers. This stove is fantastic, it lights very easily, controls very easily, produces a fantastic heat, and burns very clean. Our showroom has three live displays - Burley Hollywell, Aga Lawley, and a Westfire Uniq 33, the Esse 100 works just as well as any of them. Parts are removed very easily for cleaning, often an issue on other stoves I come across. I have only had to replace one rear brick in two years, caused by a log hitting the brick when re-fuelling. I generally burn well seasoned wood, or Verdo logs, both work really well and provide lots of heat. The wide glass is really nice, and a much wider viewing window than most cast iron 5kw stoves. Overall a great 5kw traditional stove, nobody could go wrong with one of these!
