We like the Dowling Firebug!

Had it for 9 years and it has been burning all sorts of rubbish and running fairly hot for a lot of the time.
Zero maintenance!!! Except for broken glass twice - my fault but possibly a design fault as the door opens downwards and things can be dropped on the glass. Compared to previous Morso Squirrel which was very nice but needed new fire bricks or baffles every year.
Not sufficiently airtight to stay in overnight burning really slowly (like the Squirrel), but you just work around that. NB it is sold as a workshop stove rather than for a living room (I think - maybe check this).
We like the peculiar Dowling shapes. Ju Ming, Lyn Chadwick? Have a copy made by Dowling?
