Review of Country Kiln 5 Woodburning stove

not good at all

Andy 12 years ago

I strongly recommend that nobody buys this stove it produces no heat output whatsoever. We thought we were getting a good quality stove after going to Country Kiln showroom (somebody's garage) near Fenwick and speaking to the staff but trust me the price is too good to be true it was an utter waste of money. On speaking to Country Kiln they stated we must have fit the stove incorrectly which is untrue as we have had it checked by a professional Heatas fitter. We have now ordered a Clearview stove and hope this lives up to our expectations. Don't take the gamble like we did with a Country Kiln stove it doesn't do what it says on the tin it couldn't heat a garden shed. When you open the door you can see smoke come out the front of the stove and into the room.bad bad bad quality stove.Heatas fitters refuse to fit this stove which I think says it all \n\n

Stove expert replied: If you are getting smoke back into the room on opening the door there meay be something that can be done to improve the performance of this stove. It may be worth you discussing with other installers to see if improvements can be made. Have you other chimnies in the house? What is the height of the chimney? What size is the chimney? Is it lined? There are many factors than can affect the way the stove performs and more often than not it is to do with the installation. Worth investigating further.
