Review of Contura 52C stove

A very good and solid choice

Pav M 9 years ago

After weeks of reading reviews and ringing various stove seller's I picked the Contura 51L, same as the listed model but with short legs.

I wanted a modern look and good view of the fire, having looked at the 51L in the flesh was the deal breaker for me, it looks even better than the brochures. The reviews I was getting from various established stove retailers was excellent and many of the owners and staff had the same stove in they own properties. I am very suspicious normally and try and ring around for unbiased advice. Overall this was an excellent choice.

It's been running for around 3 weeks and the glass stays clear as long as you ring burn as per instructions and get the stove up to temperature.

The heat is also tremendous for my large room and easily takes it up to 24/25c from around 17c. The stove is Swedish built and this can be seen with the quality.
