Review of Clearview Pioneer 400 stove

What a difference a Pioneer makes!

Like many people I can only rave about this stove. When we bought our damp 150 year old Cornish stone cottage we inherited a rather shockingly bad boiler stove central heating system. Our living room sits in the centre of our house so this was the first room to be renovated. The first job was ripping out this old central heating stove and inserting a good quality 'dry' stove. Over the next 6 months we visited every stove shop in a 50 mile radius before deciding on the Clearview Pioneer 400P. Having had it installed a couple of months ago all I can say it's like chalk and cheese to the old stove. Takes about 5 minutes to get the stove box up to temperature and I can truly say it heats our whole 3 bed house. We were thinking of having central heating installed as well but seeing how well and how quickly this stove heats our cottage I don't think we'll now bother. I was slightly concerned upon purchase that we had undersized our stove but I am glad we stuck with the 5kw stove as the amount of heat this little beauty gives off is unbelievable. My parents have in fact got a larger stove (8kw) and I believe our Pioneer gives off just as much if not more heat than theirs. If you're looking to install this stove and are worried about the cost, don't be, believe me when I say you get what you pay for and it doesn't look bad either!
