Its early days at the moment as we've only had the stove installed a week ago so I can only comment on the experience so far. We have found the build quality good though personally I think the dual fuel lever could have been a little more aesthetically pleasing when initially designed. Having said this I think the fire is fab, just cant believe how easy and quick it is to control and light. I have had to clean the glass but the airwash system works very well and the black glass has been more my fault than the manufacturers as I have run the fire at lower temps than recommended on occasions. Our living room so 32ft x 19ft and for the first time since moving in a year ago we can now sit in the room with the door open and not feel cold. The fire not only keeps the living room warm it also raises the temp in the hallway and kitchen which is a massive plus as initial expectation was we would still need to keep the gas central heating on to keep this part of the house warm. I think the burn time is as good as any of the more prestigious ranges on the market and after months of debating which fire to buy we finally came down to the Chesney and Clearview. The Clearview is also a fab piece of kit which was very impressive so the final decision to buy was based purely on looks as the spec between both were very similar. So one week on my verdict is as follows:-
I LOVE MY FIRE...........THOUGH BEWARE IT IS LIKE A NEW BORN CHILD.....IF YOU GO OUT WHEN ITS LIT YOU KEEP LOOKING AT YOUR WATCH AS YOUR AWARE THAT YOU WILL NEED TO GET HOME TO FEED IT. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made and cant wait for the next real winter to arrive.
Hope this helps

Chesney Barrington 8KW
Terrible, the paint on our first door flaked off in 4 months, Chesney told me I had done something to the door and reluctantly replaced the door. Hey presto after 3 months of use the second door has flaking and bubbling paint on the door. The spray paint they provide for you to touch up you stove is not their own as they have a simply applied a cheap wrap around label to a standard can of spray paint that makes no mention of even being heat resistant!!!!!! The stove itself is very average-avoid.
Stove expert says: it sounds like a batch of cast iron doors might have either been a little dusty or perhaps damp when they were painted. Various companies to provide 'white labelled' stove paint - there are in fact only a few manufacturers of stove paint but many more brands.
