  • Great purchase

We have had this fire for 3 years. We have had no problems with the fire, it's easy to light and control. We run it as a dual fuel and it is easy to keep running all day if needed. Ample heat
for our large lounge and on many an occasion the centre piece for the lounge. Word of warning choose your installer very carefully.

After a fair bit of research and head scratching we decided on the C7. We had it installed about a month ago and it is fantastic. Extremely easy to light and responds quickly using the air control
which can be used without gloves. The air wash works well and any discolouration quickly rubs off. Warms a sizeable lounge quickly and takes the chill off the whole ground floor. Excellent purchase. Not the cheapest but worth every penny. The wooden handle keeps cool too.

  • Noise from Charnwood C7

Just had this stove installed. Really like the look and output from the stove but there is an annoying clicking sound from the unit. Understand that there can be a noise due to the metal heating
but thought this noise would be gone after the unit has heated up. However, it continues to give a clicking sound when new wood added or as the wood burns down it gives clicking noises. Trying to get this resolved as it is annoying.

  • Great Stove but initial problems with the door handle

    Ken Richardson 10 years ago

Bought this stove on the internet and had it fitted by a professional.Initial problems with the door handle, couldn't close the door properly - kept springing open. It seems to be a minor design
fault that the lug that the door latch catches to close the door wasn't quite long enough. Fitter managed to get a fix by adjusting the door brackets.Been OK since.I did contact the suppliers who admitted that they had the same problem with their demo C7 model in their showroom and had to fix in the same way. Requested a replacement lug from Charnwood thinking that this would be longer, but they sent another one the same size!In terms of operating, very easy once you get the hang of lighting with kindling wood.Gives off a fantastic heat, even when the air drawer is closed. We find we need to keep the lounge door open!
