Review of Charnwood C 5 stove

Clean lines and simple operation make for great wood burner.

I had this stove installed in September 2015 and have just come to the end of of my first winter of use.

The Charnwood C5 has been an excellent performer on all fronts and has kept my home warm and welcoming through a damp and dismal winter.

I chose this design as it was compact, simple, had a large window and could take larger logs than the smaller C4. It only has one air control which is a straightforward push/pull lever. The overall build quality is reassuringly sturdy and I haven't had any issues with operation or fire lighting.

I use air dried hardwood supplied at approx 15 - 20% moisture and kiln dried kindling.
