Review of Burley Wakerley stove

Complete heaven to own

Margaret Marciniak 10 years ago

We purchased a Burley Wakley 12KW over a year ago after researching for a log burner that would save us money on heating cost as we have a bed and breakfast.

This stove provides us with enough warmth in our three bed cottage sat on the river Axe. We are 10c cooler indoors due to the damp air of the river, so we brought the 12Kw and it is brilliant. All the tec info we read steered us towards this make and model. There were teething probs as an anti down draught cowl had been added in error which has now been replaced. Worth every penny and a talking point. We also spent out for a fan which moves the air around the cottage. In the morning the ashes are so small I only clean them every other day at the most. The glass never gets dirty as the fire burns so well it stays clean. It is important to use good season logs to get optimum efficiency. We never leave the fire over night burning as the cottage is so warm. So more saving.
