Review of Burley Hollywell 9105 stove

Good .but does have faults

Richard Wills 6 years ago

Had this fire over a year now and used it for a full season . It's solid and well made . It throws out some heat for a 5kw stove and uses very little wood compared to our old fire . I've seen some comments about the cloudy glass . It's true and I believe a problem with manufacturing . I'm an experienced wood burner and no matter what settings / temperature or airflow that you have set it on I have found the glass will cloud up . And before I get the standard reply ... There is no separate airwash on this fire just one lever that you can play with till your hearts content ... It will still get dirty and cloudy glass .. and yes my wood is dry! . It takes the edge off of what would have been a fantastic fire .. oh and the door seal is fine to . But otherwise I'm happy with my purchase . I wouldn't buy another when it's had it's day because I like to see the fire .. I've had other fires without this airwash problem and my friends have other makes which don't suffer this . Shame .
