Review of Burley Hollywell 9105 stove

A great stove

T Mills 6 years ago

We got the Burley Hollywell installed in 2012 in our living room in a big and draughty Victorian house. It was used most days from Nov - Apr for four years and I wanted to say how impressed with the stove I am. It generated huge amounts of warmth and we could feel the heat from the top of the stairs. I found it wasn''t as efficient as some reviewers have claimed (perhaps because of the draw on the very tall chimney?? but nonetheless we were very happy. As recommended we got the chimney liner swept after a year and there was no soot - the chimney sweep recommended we call him back every 2-3 years!

Stove expert replied: You can get the flue draw measured to check that it matches what is recommended by the manufacturer, if it is higher then having remedial work carried out to rectify this over drawing should improve the performance of the stove.
