Happy with our purchase Good flame pattern, throws out a lot of heat, has a simple solid look to it which we like, with its large window. In detail, it lights easily with kindling and firelighters, starts to heat up well with small chunks of wood, and burns bigger logs when up to temperature. It gets going best with kiln dried/seasoned softwood. Wood briquettes burn hotter than anything else with best flame. Seasoned hardwood is not so good unless small logs and stove up to temperature. There is generally a little sooting of the glass each morning which is worse if the burn hasn't been so good eg poor quality hardwood, but hardly noticeable with seasoned softwood, and virtually none with briquettes It cleans easily with a wood stove glass spray. We are very pleased. I haven't got a multifuel grate, and see no need to get one as we are happily stocking up on softwood and briquettes ready for winter.
