Review of Burley Brampton 9108 stove

update to previouse review

I've had the Burley Brampton for one year, I've worked on many Burley stoves and they burn wood extremely efficiently, the fireball allows oxygen in all areas to get every last bit of heat from the fuel, but the glass issue is nothing to do with over firing the stove, the way the stove burns forces hot steam against the glass mixing it with fly ash causes the etching, trust me on this and it can't be removed, the front lower baffle retainer falls off as it only has a few small welds needed to be beefed up thicker and a continuous weld would be better, the actual vermiculite baffles last well but the lower stainless one will need replacing every few years as it's just not strong enough, fitting a draught stabilizer will not help in any way as you should not add cold air into the flue system as it lowers flue gas temp and leads to condensation, so if you need to heat a very large area this stove is amazing but you won't have clear glass and you will have build quality issues to deal with,

Stove expert replied: Over drawing flues can be controlled by a flue damper / stabilizer and should not affect the flue causing condensation, it helps to gain control of the stove when the flue draw is excessive.
