Double sided stove

Double sided glass doors is a brilliant idea, looks great and you have a single stove providing a stove in two rooms (two for the price of one). The heat from the stove is not great but I didn't need a stove with a large heat output.

A couple of criticisms:

1 The ridling grate handle attachment has a poor connection and often comes detached.

2 Because the UK size of concrete block is still based on imperial sizes, unlike the sizes of the stove, you end up having to either cut an awful lot of blocks or you have to have a slight recess surrounding the stove on one side. I went for the 50mm recess on one side and it looks fine.

Overall, I'm delighted with this stove.

Stylish and effective...

Bought a couple of years ago and looks great. First wood burning stove, so comparisons are difficult. It isn't the easiest to keep clean, in that a wet wipe after each burn isn't usually enough - but bar keepers friend is great! It's a large expanse of glass and since it is a feature, it looks much better clean!

As for the fire, we don't use it much for heat, more for atmosphere! It's easy enough to light, but requires a little fiddling to keep at the 'right' level of burn. It will gently keep going overnight if closed down - will smoulder burn until fuel used up so have to start again in the morning!
